The sales and technical team at GBE have extensive experience in the obsolete and hard to find electronic components market.
Our extensive catalogue and exclusive access to obsolete components throughout the world, including Own Equipment Manufacturers excess inventory and membership of several specialist B-2-B Obsolete Component Forums, means we can offer anything from specialist one-off supply for repair and service work to large, scheduled orders. GBE’s current availability and stock list is over 75,000 line items.
This service is combined with GBE’s component kitting facility which means we can accept scheduled orders over a period of up to 12 months, which can help our customers with scheduling logistics and any potential obsolescence issues. This saves time as GBE carries out the logistical organisation, plus it will help improve your bottom line, allowing bulk buying and even recommendations for alternative, more economical components. Components supplied for your own inhouse assembly will be packaged and clearly marked, according to your instructions and GBE will organise the drop quantities.
In early 2015 GBE launched a full Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) service, which was a business model developed for two of our key customers. This proved so successful that we can now offer this service as a standard product to all of our current and future customers. This streamlines procurement and inventory management for our clients and reduces their operating and material costs. We would be delighted to discuss how this VMI service would work with your procurement and operational teams.
In addition to supplying obsolete components, GBE offers advice on alternative parts or manufacturers, which we cross reference using our large library of reference manuals and datasheets.
We can also advise whether parts will be suitable for use in accordance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Legislation.
Programming, verification and testing of devices can also be undertaken.
Note: All parts we offer are new and unused. In some cases due to severe obsolescence, we may have to offer second hand products. If this is the case we will not hide the fact about their condition. The recycling of components has become a major player in the obsolete market and is occasionally the only option, bar a redesign.
In the unlikely event that only 'refurbs' are available then this will be CLEARLY INDICATED to you.
