GBE was shortlisted as a Finalist for the Manufacturing Excellence awards in 2004 and are extremely proud to have won an award for Outstanding Achievement for Product Innovation. This was an extremely thorough and rigorous assessment process; which included an onsite audit and GBE delivering a presentation at the IMechE headquarters in London. The assessment was focussed GBE’s BloodTrack® product.
In 2005, with the University of Brighton as academic partner, GBE applied for and won a KTP Grant to focus on developing our electronic embedded design capabilities, which was successfully completed in 2007.
Another KTP Grant was won in 2009, also with University of Brighton as academic partner. This grant was used to advance GBE’s medical and healthcare product development expertise, along with embedding an ISO 13485:2003 conforming QMS system. The KTP has provided a strong route to market for an innovative diagnostics device that assesses Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy, reducing the high number of deaths caused by the condition and reducing the impact on healthcare services.
Grant for Research and Development project won in 2009 – for in-house development of Starman in-car connectivity and communication product.
