What are static Frequency Converters?

Quite simply, a static frequency converter (SFC) is a device that converts a fixed voltage / fixed frequency to match the desired voltage and frequency you require, An SFC as opposed to older technology such as (rotary / motor frequency converters) has no moving parts and is therefore more efficient.

Standard applications for SFC’s are commonly within the aviation industry, converting mains power (50/60Hz) to aircraft power 115V 400Hz, military and oil industry applications that require 400Hz,  and within industry a common application would be from 50Hz to 60Hz or 60Hz to 50Hz. Regardless of  your specific requirement, GB Electronics will have a solution for your application.

LF1-400

115/200V 400Hz Single Phase output, at up to 1kVA

A transformer ensures full isolation between the output voltage and the incoming supply and the output neutral may be earthed externally if required. The unit is fully protected against overcurrent and overtemperature conditions. Input power and output cable supplied.

This unit is normally supplied as a free standing bench top unit; but the LF1 can also be built in a rack mount configuration if required at no extra cost. A support shelf or bracket would be required when the rack mounting option is specified: these are not supplied with the unit, as their dimensions will depend on the arrangement of the cabinet or rack.

The LF1-400-3kW frequency converter offers low price fixed voltage single phased full isolation between the output voltage and the incoming supply, and the output neutral may be earthed externally if required. The unit is fully protected against overcurrent and temperature conditions, LF1-400-3kW are supplied with input and output cables.
