We are proud to announce that GBE’s own Electronic Design Engineer, Alex Croucher, has been celebrated by Electronics Weekly’s BrightSparks 2017 programme in recognition of his achievements as a young engineer in the electronics industry. Alex has been a part of the GBE design team since 2013 and has been involved in a wide variety of development projects, demonstrating both his ability and drive as a professional Electronic Design Engineer.
February 2017 – GBE is excited to announce the launch of our Strategic Product Solution Partnership with Wildtrax Electronics. This enables us to offer our highly successful product design and support business along with a product-centric contract electronic manufacturing service. All aspects of this service will be managed by GBE and will utilise, where applicable, the expertise of both partners; but with the benefit of one single contract and margin.
We are proud to announce that GB Electronics (UK) Ltd have been ISO14001:2004 accredited for our environmental management system which aims to measure and improve the environmental impact of GBE’s business activities.
Organisations around the world, as well as their stakeholders, are becoming increasingly aware of the need for environmental management, socially responsible behaviour, and sustainable growth and development. ISO 14001 is the world’s most recognised framework for environmental management systems that helps organizations both to manage better the impact of their activities on the environment and to demonstrate sound environmental management.
We are very proud to announce that GB Electronics (UK) Ltd have successfully been awarded an SBRI Healthcare development contract for the development of a cost‐effective thermal perception screening and monitoring device for early detection and long‐term management of Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy to reduce the impact on healthcare services and patients’ quality of life. The project, and subsequent SBRI application, has involved several key partners of GBE, namely; the University of Brighton, and our clinical expert advisors Alistair McInnes and Dr John Quinn. We are all very excited as we now progress with the project and the goal of reducing the effects of one of the most debilitating, life-threatening, and costly complications caused by diabetes which is so prevalent both here in the UK and internationally.
On June 22nd 2013 three members of GBE’s staff, Tracie, Shani, and Michele, will be taking part in the Night to Remember midnight walk (13.1 miles) in memory of Geoff, CEO of GBE, and other loved ones.

GBE is excited to introduce the latest additions to their ever expanding team: –
Alex Croucher a recent first class graduate from the University of Portsmouth has joined the Design Team as an electronics design engineer.
Julian Taylor an experienced hardware support and test engineer has joined the Production Team to offer first class product support across our range of products.
Established on 21st March 1988, GB Electronics (UK) Ltd are proud to be celebrating their 25th anniversary.
Geoff Bullen, founder of GBE, started the company off with little more than an overdraft and a wealth of industry contracts from years of being in the electronics industry. GBE’s first order on the books was received a mere three days after starting the business and the rest, as they say, is history! Starting off solely as a supplier of electronic components, 25 years later GBE now design, manufacture, and supply electronics for a wide range of industries across the globe, and has also recently reached a landmark moment of receiving ISO13485:2012 accreditation for developing medical devices – more news to follow soon.
Sadly Geoff passed away in December 2012, but we are all tremendously proud of what he, his family, and close-knit staff have achieved over the past 25 years. We now look forward to another successful 25 years in honour of Geoff.
GBE and University of Brighton (UoB) have recently received an “Outstanding” grading, the highest achievable grade, after completing a 3-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) partially funded by the Technology Strategy Board aimed at embedding medical device development capabilities and expertise within the GBE organisation. The partnership has proven to be hugely successful with many collaborative projects developing between the two parties beyond the initial scope of the KTP.
